This is a wonderful California Chardonnay from the cool Monterey region. Chardonnay is the most widely planted grape variety in Monterey County, and for good reason. The moderate climate is ideal for developing full flavors of the grape while low annual rainfall allows winemakers to delay harvest into October to obtain maximum maturity.

Winemaker’s Notes: We harvest our white grape varieties in the coolness of the night to preserve its delicate aromas and flavors. Fermented primarily in stainless steel tanks, this wine retains fruit intensity and crispness not always found in barrel fermented wines. A small amount of this wine underwent malolactic fermentation to round out the palate.

Tasting Notes: Tropical aromas of banana and mango are nicely balanced by a slight lemony, crispness from natural grape acidity. Butterscotch and vanilla are also evident in the nose while the wine finishes soft and round.

Food Pairing: This Chardonnay is a perfect accompaniment to lighter styled dishes and appetizers. Pair it with grilled chicken, creamy pastas, and white flesh seafood.
